After leaving the Miyako Hotel in Kyoto and arriving at Osaka Airport for my flight back to the Fiji Islands, I went to the bookstand to buy Scientific American magazine to have something to read during the flight.

Scientific American August 2015 issue brought as always fascinating articles, but one of them caught my attention:

FOREST ON THE MARCH – Trees can’t walk to a better place as climate worsens. So scientists are relocating helpful genes instead, by Hillary Rosner.

Totally contradicting the title of my presentation! Or not, as we have been doing that, for example, to take P. elliottii from its original environment in the South East USA to Brazil and Argentina.
